Tantra for beginners

  • The Life Centre, Notting Hill 15 Edge Street London, England, W8 7PN United Kingdom (map)

Are you ready to explore the profound art of connection, presence, and self-discovery? Tantra is an ancient practice that invites us to awaken our inner energy, deepen our relationships, and embrace life fully.

What is Tantra?

Tantra is a sacred tradition that blends mindfulness, breathwork, movement, and meditation to cultivate a deeper connection to ourselves and others. Contrary to common misconceptions, Tantra is about much more than intimacy—it’s a holistic journey toward balance, vitality, and joy.

In Tantric cosmology, Shiva represents pure consciousness, stillness, and the unmanifested divine masculine energy. Shakti, on the other hand, symbolises energy, dynamism, creativity, and the manifested divine feminine. These two principles are not seen as separate but as complementary forces that together create and sustain the universe.

The Sacred Marriage, often depicted as the union of Shiva and Shakti, symbolises the merging of these polarities to achieve wholeness. In human terms, this represents the integration of our inner masculine (yang) and inner feminine (yin) energies. This balance leads to a state of harmony, spiritual awakening, and creative power.
